Shipping policy

Australian Teaching Aids (ATA) delivers Australia-wide and internationally. Proudly Australian owned and operated since 1982, we know how much fast, reliable delivery matters, and we work hard to get your order to you quickly and cost-effectively. Here is a guide to how we handle delivery.

Shipping rates within Australia

All order values below exclude GST.

  • Orders under $300: $12.90 flat-rate delivery
  • Orders $300 and over: FREE

A minimum order value of $50 applies. Orders under $50 incur a $20 small order surcharge.

As soon as your order is received and payment is confirmed, we process, pack and send it via Australia Post, StarTrack or a similar courier, depending on the size and contents of your order.

Courier deliveries require a signature on delivery. If you are not there to sign, the courier will leave a card explaining how to arrange redelivery or collection.

If you are happy for your order to be left in a safe place, please let us know at checkout. Where you have given authority to leave and the courier confirms the parcel was delivered, we are unable to replace parcels that are later reported lost or stolen.

We take all reasonable care to deliver to the address supplied, but we cannot be held liable for non-delivery or misdelivery caused by incorrect address details entered at checkout.

Delivery times

Once your order has been shipped, typical delivery times for standard shipping are below. Some deliveries may take longer depending on the destination.

  • 3 to 6 business days: most Australian metropolitan areas.
  • 5 to 10 business days: most regional and remote locations across Australia.

International delivery

International orders cannot be placed through the website checkout. Please contact us first for a quote, and we will arrange your order for you. All international deliveries require a signature on delivery.

Important

  • For international orders, it is the customer's responsibility to pay any customs duties, foreign taxes or other fees imposed in the destination country. Please check with your local customs office for details.
  • All transactions are in Australian dollars, so your bank may charge an additional processing or currency conversion fee.
  • Goods and Services Tax (GST) does not apply to orders shipped outside Australia, except to New Zealand, where 15% GST is applied to the order total.

  • 3 to 10 business days: Express International (EMS) courier delivery.

We currently deliver online orders to over 40 countries worldwide. International orders are sent via Australia Post (or similar) and handed to a courier in the destination country.
